Iran face Spain in World Cup Group B at Kazan Arena on Wednesday, June 20. Here’s all the info you need to watch the match.

Following a thrilling 3-3 draw to Portugal on Friday, Spain will look to bounce back against an Iran side high on confidence after their late win against Morocco. Despite the result, La Roja were quite impressive throughout much of their clash against Portugal and were only denied an opening day win from a brilliant Cristiano Ronaldo hatrick. Iran provide much tamer opponents than their Iberian rivals, but the current group leaders shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Heading into the tournament in Russia, Iran had previously only won a single game at a World Cup against the United States in 1998, however after a tight and testing 90 minutes against Morocco, Iran were gifted a late winner thanks to an own goal in additional time. They are yet to score a goal of their own, but, Iran will be buoyed by that win and Spain shouldn’t take such a defensively resilient side lightly.

Should Iran pull off their biggest shock since 1998, they will qualify for the World Cup knockout rounds for the very first time and put Spain’s campaign on the rocks. In the more likely situation that Spain secure victory, they will enter their final group encounter in a much more comfortable position for reaching the first knockout rounds.
