Rockets fans destroying Yelp page for Ayesha Curry’s restaurant
The Rockets had their season ended in the WCF at the hands of the Warriors, but even now, they aren’t done, now going after Ayesha Curry’s restaurant.
Ayesha Curry wears many hats. She’s a professional chef, Steph Curry’s wife, and Riley Curry’s mom. Right now, the first two are coming together as Rockets fans are still not over losing the Western Conference Finals.
Curry’s restaurant, International Smoke, is opening up a location in Houston, and once Rockets fans found out, the game was on. They’ve taken to Yelp, leaving one star reviews, with pro-Rockets commentary. They are doing what it takes to show what a true Rockets fan is, declaring a real Houstonian won’t eat there. “Photos of the restaurant” are pictures regarding the Rockets and Warriors.
Then, Warriors fans found out about the shenanigans. It has become an all out war on International Smoke Houston’s Yelp Page. The Warriors fans are coming to the defense of International Smoke. They have gone as far as the call Houston “choke city” which can only be revenge for Kevin Durant being called a snake.
NBA Twitter has moved to Yelp. The debates and trolling that is usually reserved for Twitter and Reddit has progressed to Yelp. Blazen H. had one of the most creative and elaborate analogies, putting Kevin Durant’s joining of the Warriors in food terms.
"However, this meal still lost to my 4 time most valuable meal, the steak. This is nothing to scoff at, as the steak has been the best meal over the past 12 years. However, after suffering this defeat the lobster, mashed potatoes, and French fries called their friend The Brisket to come join their meal. While this did make the meal way better, I just can’t respect a meal that can’t stand on its own and has to recruit from the other best meals around the kitchen. I’d even go out on a limb to say this meal was rigged."
The steak is LeBron James, while the Brisket is Kevin Durant. The lobster, mashed potatoes, and french fries are Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. No matter how long this took him, it was worth it.

In all seriousness, this is truly beautiful though. Honestly, it is what makes sports beautiful. Fans defending their teams as long as they have to and however they have to. The passion they have year round, not just during the season.
Not to mention, Ayesha Curry probably isn’t complaining about free publicity.
