20. Los Angeles Kings – RW Dominik Bokk

It is no secret the Los Angeles Kings need to get faster and score more goals. That is easier said than done. However, the addition of Dominik Bokk would inject exactly what they need into their lineup. The Kings were eliminated in the first round by the Vegas Golden Knights simply because they did not score enough goals. Part of that is because Marc Andre Fleury was playing lights out and the other part is the Kings were too slow. For teams that made the playoffs, the Kings were the second worst in the goals for category with just 239. For perspective, the Vegas Golden Knights who eliminated the Kings had 272.

A team looking to add speed and offense, there is no better match than Dominik Bokk. Bokk was not on a lot of people’s radar to start the season. He exploded this year to rocket up draft boards. His best attribute is his speed, he is one of the fastest skaters that will be taken in the first round. Bokk is very smart at using his speed to get defensemen out of position then exploiting the open space to generate offense. This skillset is something the Kings desperately need to add to their current lineup.

Bokk is not ready to step into the lineup day one and dominate but with the proper training he can grow his game and become a top winger for the Kings. Bokk played at the junior level for most of this season and scored 41 points in 35 games. He also got a little bit of pro exposure playing in the SHL. In 15 games he only got two points but he made a strong impression among scouts. Another year of professional hockey in Europe will help paint a more accurate picture of Bokk’s complete game. This is a little bit of a riskier pick but if it pays off the Kings will have an offensively gifted weapon they can lean on.
