1. Go for the bonus

With thirteen bonuses in his career, Cerrone sits tied second on the all time list alongside Anderson Silva. A large part of Cerrone’s fan appeal has been his flashy shows of skull bashing and overall masterful performances.

After debuting at welterweight, Cerrone racked up a hat trick of Performance of the Night bonuses. Even more impressively, on a run from 2013 to 2014, Cerrone gained four bonuses in a row, including head kick KO’s of Adriano Martins and Jim Miller. With the advent of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the “Cowboy” might want to take a page out of the player’s books and kick Edwards’ head in like a soccer ball.

Edwards will be well aware that Cerrone is a bonus machine and always aims to please the fans. Therefore, Cerrone should have nothing to hide and use his free-flowing combat style to try to pick off Edwards anyway. Cerrone has done this so many times that it’s just another day in the office for him, and another bonus would be just as natural. The Jamaican has never been finished, and if there’s one key to earn a bonus and a record-breaking twenty-first UFC victory, it’s for Cerrone to take him out in the main event in Singapore.
