The 2018 NHL Draft is finally here, and for all hockey fans in need of extra coverage until live puck drop in October, FanSided has your back with the details. Check below for TV channels and start time.

Today we finally get an answer to the lingering question of “Who will be selected first overall?” Albeit, that isn’t really a question at this point — we’ve known for some time that the Buffalo Sabres will take defensive genius Rasmus Dahlin in this year’s NHL Draft.

Still, we love the drama. What if the Sabres fool us all? What if they go for forward Andrei Svechnikov instead? Better yet, maybe they trade the No. 1 pick for the rights to that Vegas Golden Knights intro. We kid, of course. While the Sabres have been flat-out coy in who they’ll take, we shouldn’t hold our breath for a historic moment where they go bonkers and select an absolute project player who can barely tie his skate laces.

Aside from what transpires the first few picks, we know you aren’t completely enticed until it’s your own favorite club set to grab a future star. Maybe that’s in the middle of the pack, or maybe — if you’re a fan of the Calgary Flames, Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vegas Golden Knights, Tampa Bay Lightning, Winnipeg Jets or Nashville Predators — your team doesn’t even select in the first round and has to wait until Day 2. (That’s so unfortunate.) Whatever the case, be sure to tune in tonight, June 22, for Round 1, and then on Saturday, June 23, for Rounds 2 through 7.
