2. @ Chicago Blackhawks – Winter Classic – Tuesday, Jan. 1, 1:00 p.m.

The Chicago Blackhawks will host the Boston Bruins in the 2019 Winter Classic game. These two powerhouses will replay their 2013 NHL final match up outside in what is surely going to be one of the colder winter classic games in history.

This marks the third time the Bruins (1-1) will face-off in a Winter Classic game, the fourth time for the Chicago Blackhawks (0-3). While the game is considered a home game for the Blackhawks, it is set to take place at Notre Dame University stadium in Notre Dame, Indiana (just less than 100 miles away).

Expect to see a much better Chicago Blackhawks team next season as they return most of their key pieces after a down year. This will be a gritty, old-time hockey match-up but the edge has to go to the Bruins as they are a more rounded team and apparently Chicago has trouble in winter classic games.

Any game between two original six teams carries a history but having one in such a historic stadium at Notre Dame will bring this game to another level.

The winter classic games are always fun for everyone watching as most are just finishing up their holidays. Hosting these games on January 1 gives you one last reason to rally after what was likely a long evening the night before.

Grab your buddies and a few cold ones and get a nice game of road hockey going before you all head inside for this big game.
