MLB DFS Picks – Standouts: June 26th
Tonight’s MLB DFS Picks slate features 14 games with, Boston (5.7), Atlanta (5.1), Texas (5.1), Houston (5.1), and San Diego (5), holding the best projected team totals. With expensive pitchers like, Luis Severino, Corey Kluber, James Paxton, and Charlie Morton, available, finding value will be crucial for success tonight. We’ll be aiming to highlight MLB DFS picks from the perspective of batted ball data, batter splits, line movement, and stolen base upside.
MLB DFS Picks: Batted Ball Stats
Chad Pinder – DK $3300, FD $2300
If Chad Pinder is batting second for Oakland tonight, he’ll be locked in as one of the best value plays on FanDuel. Pinder, who only costs $2300 on FanDuel, hasn’t racked up tremendous fantasy production lately, but his recent batted ball stats would indicate that he has had some good plate appearances. In the last 15 days, his batted ball distance is up 13 feet, his exit velocity is up 3 MPH, and his hard hit percentage is up 14%, over his yearly averages.

Batter Splits
Justin Upton – DK $4300, $4000
If you have the extra salary to spend up tonight, consider, Justin Upton. Upton will draw an advantageous matchup against the lefty, David Price. Upton is much better against left-handed pitching, with a .428 wOBA split (.08 better than when facing a righty) and a .352 ISO split (.124 better than when facing a righty).
Justin Turner – DK $3600, FD $3200
Justin Turner is another righty, that will have a matchup against a left-handed, starting pitcher. Turner is relatively cheap on DraftKings tonight, and will get to face lefty, Jon Lester. Turner is much better against left-handed pitching, with a .486 wOBA split (.181 better than when facing a righty) and a .350 ISO split (.196 better than when facing a righty).
Line Movement
LAA Batters
The Los Angeles Angels will be on the road tonight, as they face the Boston Soxs at Fenway Park. Boston opened as -210 favorites, but have since dropped to where they currently sit, at -162. In addition to this massive movement on the side, the total has also risen. The game total opened at 9.5 runs, but is now up a half of a run, to 10 runs. LAA batters will face David Price, who strung together a handful of quality starts, but took the loss in his most recent outing, against the Twins. It will be important to monitor the weather for this game, as it looks like the wind could be blowing out, at around 10 MPH.
Stolen Base Upside
Dee Gordon – $3300, FD $2800
Dee Gordon will draw an enticing matchup on the base paths tonight, as he’ll face the righty, Kevin Gausman. Gausman has been susceptible to base stealers this season, allowing six stolen bases over the course of 88.1 innings. This isn’t a shocking number, but when coupled with Gordon’s base stealing ability, its makes for an interesting play. Gordon has stolen 20 bases this year, tied for 3rd most in the majors.
