25. Padres (-5)

The Padres have lost 9 of their last 11 games and are losing a lot of the hope they previously had surrounding them. As long as they were hovering close to .500, there was belief that maybe it could come together. If not this year then next, but the recent cold streak is taking that away.

24. Twins(-1)

Last week, the Twins did well to win their series with the Red Sox. They’ve gone .500 over their last 10 games and are starting to become a more consistent team. Honestly, they still aren’t out of the playoff race despite being awful to start the year. Just 7.5 games back on the streaking Indians, they can still push them in the division.

23. Rangers (+4)

The Rangers are hot. They won 7 in a row and have won 8 of their last 9 thanks to good pitching and big time hitting when they’ve needed it. While they still won’t get back into the playoff race, it will be nice for their fans to look back on this week.

22. Pirates (-3)

The Pirates are continuing to fall out of the playoff race as the season moves on. They’ve now lost 6 of their last 8 with things not looking like they will turn around any time soon, outside of this series against the Mets.

21. Reds (+4)

The Reds had won 7 games in a row before dropping Monday night’s game to the Braves, losing by just a run. When they can get good pitching, their offense has enough talented pieces to continue to win games. While they won’t get into the playoff race this year, it lets them know that they just need to bring in more starting pitching this offseason.
