1. LeBron James

LeBron James. Everybody knows his name. He is arguably the greatest player of all time. He carried the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals last year. LeBron James.

If you aren’t sold yet, here are some more stats to explain how dominant LeBron was last year. He played the most minutes, most total points, had the 11th most rebounds, second most assists, fifteenth most steals, and the third highest PER.

Okay, there is more. He absolutely carried the Cavaliers through this year. He had the sixth highest usage rate and fourth highest assist percentage. So, he had the ball the most, made the most key passes, and scored the most points for the Cavs. Since they didn’t have a point guard, he decided that he would do that. He had the lowest percentage of his two point shots assisted in his career, and had the second lowest percentage of his three point shots assisted. The only time lower was his last year in Cleveland before leaving for Miami. He couldn’t even take corner threes, just 8.4% of his threes were from the corner.

Oh, and he is a solid defender. The 6-time All-Defensive team player had 1.4 steals per game last year, continuing to prove that he is not of this planet.

There is no better free agent available this year than LeBron James. The team he joins is immediately a championship contender.
