1. Chris Paul

The ‘point god’ is hitting the open market. Last year, the nine time All-Star made his first run to the Western Conference Finals where he showed that he can still take over games. Having James Harden by his side just relieved him of pressure. In the WCF, it was still Paul who took games over.

Over the last few years, Paul has gotten very good at a few things. He has morphed into a great three point shooter while remaining a floor general in all scenarios. Last year, Paul shot more three pointers than he ever had before, 47.5% of his field goals came from behind the arc. Still, he knocked down 38% of his look from there. All the while, his midrange excellence was still there, as he shot over 50% between 10 feet and the three point line.

It is with the ball in his hands where CP3 really excels. Last year, he finished in the 91st percentile as the ball handler in pick and roll situations. Coming off of pick and roll, Paul is infinitely dangerous. He can pull up for a jump shot, drive to the rim, pass to the man rolling, or kick to an open teammate.

He can also take anybody in isolation where he ranked in the 90th percentile. The wide variety of of dribble moves he boasts and his ability to make any shot makes him impossible to defend. Oh, and he has lead the NBA in assists 4 times before. Defensively, he is a 6 time steals leader who continues to be menace on that end of the floor.

Prying him away from Houston makes any team a force in their conference.
