5. Milwaukee Bucks

Milwaukee Bucks fans are clamoring for their team to find a way to add a star center this summer. That probably isn’t happening. The Bucks have several big questions to answer in the coming months, with the biggest having to do with Jabari Parker’s contract situation.

Unless general manager Jon Horst pulls some masterful tricks, Milwaukee is not a team with tons of cap space. DeAndre Jordan and DeMarcus Cousins are probably not heading to Milwaukee. Greg Monroe might be, though.

Monroe technically cannot rejoin the Bucks until July due to being traded away from the team during the regular season, but that’s no issue here as NBA free agency doesn’t open until July anyway. As thrilled as Milwaukee was to add Eric Bledsoe, there was an obvious hole at center after Monroe was sent to Phoenix in that deal.

With a tepid market for big men, other marquee centers available in free agency, and a draft featuring a lot of skilled bigs, Monroe might be forced to sign a relatively cheap deal. The Bucks could oblige him there, and re-acquire a bench cog who was great in that role after the starting spot went to John Henson and Thon Maker. If there are more happy memories than hard feelings for Monroe in Milwaukee, this reunion could happen.
