New York Jets: Adam Sandler

Since appearing on Saturday Night Live back in the early 1990s, Adam Sandler has become an international superstar, as his movies have grossed over $2 billion. One of the funniest people in the world, Sandler parlayed that experience on SNL to put some some iconic movies, including Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, and The Waterboy.

In addition to comedy, Sandler has also ventured into some serious roles, like Punch Drunk Love, and Reign Over Me, showing his versatility as an actor. Through it all, Sandler has stayed true to his love for the New York Jets, making him our most famous fan of the franchise.

Sandler has weaved the Jets into most of his films, including Big Daddy, when is co-star talked about watching the “G-ddamn Jets!” When it comes to watching his favorite team, the New York native is often at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, although there has not been a lot to be excited about in recent years.

Not only is Sandler a big Jets fan, but he is also a friend of the owner of the franchise, Woody Johnson. During his time as New York Jets head coach, Rex Ryan got to see first-hand how big a fan Sandler is, as the actor even put him in one of his movies.

With the drafting of Sam Darnold at No. 3 overall this past April, the Jets finally have the franchise quarterback they have not had since the likes of Joe Namath. The word is the team may actually start Darnold as a rookie, and while that does not seem like a smart thing to do, you can be sure Sandler will have his take on it before long.
