Oakland Raiders: Ice Cube

The Oakland Raiders have one of the best fanbases in all of sports, as you could walk into nearly any bar in America on a Sunday during the NFL season and see at least one person sporting the Silver and Black. In the history of the franchise, the Raiders have won three Super Bowls, and with a solid cast in place for 2018, they could challenge for their first AFC West title since 2012.

When it comes to the fans of the Raiders, there is no more famous fan than Ice Cube. Throughout his time as one of the biggest rappers in the world, and then as a movie and television star, Cube has gone out of his way to don the Silver and Black, whether in interviews, or on TV.

Born O’Shea Jackson, Cube is considered the President of Raider Nation, and has even written songs about the team. Raider Nation is considered the anthem for the team, and if you watch Raiders games, especially at home, you could usually spot Cube on the sidelines, and being very vocal about his fandom.

The Raiders are not Cube’s only foray into the sports world. Cube invented the Big 3, which is a professional three-on-three basketball league that features stars from the NBA past. The 49-year-old has come a long way since being a premier member of N.W.A., but no matter what he does, he is a Raiders fan first and foremost.

The move to Las Vegas was not lost on Cube as well, as he stated that the team owes the City of Oakland a Super Bowl championship before they leave once again for good. The team has the right head coach in place in Jon Gruden, and Cube just may get his wish within the next few seasons before the Raiders leave for the 2020 campaign.
