Baltimore Ravens: Michael Phelps

The crown jewel of the city of Baltimore is Michael Phelps, who just happens to be the most decorated Olympian of all-time. Phelps, who earned his notoriety by his incredible prowess in the water, is actually a die-hard fan of his local Ravens, and he is not afraid to let people know.

Phelps won 28 medals during his time in the water in Olympic competition, and while his career is likely over, his records will never be touched. The 32-year-old is a fan of a lot of different sports, including golf, where he has played with some of the more famous players of all-time.

Still, it is his fandom for the Ravens  that places him on this list, as he has been a constant around M&T Bank Stadium in recent years. Phelps has led the team out of the tunnel, and can be seen not only during regular season games, but also in the preseason, where the real fans come out to root on their teams.

Phelps’ ties to Baltimore run deep, as does his love for the Ravens. During an interview at the Olympics, he refused to take a question from a guy wearing Pittsburgh Steelers gear, turning away to answer questions from a reporter wearing Ravens garb. Yeah, his fandom is that serious, and nobody is off limits when it comes to his Ravens.

Not only does Phelps love the Ravens, but the Ravens love him back. During a 2016 preseason game against the Carolina Panthers, the team gave fans “Ravens Flock For Phelps” signs, and the game actually stopped so they could see him win the gold medal in the 200 IM. Talk about loyalty on both sides of the coin.
