Belgium vs. Japan live stream: Watch World Cup online
By Dan Voicescu
Belgium face Japan at the Rostov Arena on Monday, July 2. Here is all the info you need to watch the match online.
Japan are a somewhat surprising participant in the round of 16 after capitalizing against a 10-man Colombia and getting all three points, followed by rather unconvincing performances against Senegal and a loss against Poland. The Blue Samurai are the first team in World Cup history to advance from the group stage because of fair play, having accumulated fewer yellow cards than Senegal.
From a personnel perspective, Japan’s captain Makoto Hasebe is set to return in midfield, while striker Shinji Okazaki is a doubt with an ankle injury.
Belgium come in having won all their group games and look to be in peak form. This World Cup presents a huge opportunity for this Belgian team that feature a group of world-class players who are at the peak of their careers: Eden Hazard, Kevin DeBruyne, Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian forward looks to be fully fit and should be featuring in the starting lineup, following an ankle injury that caused him to miss the game against England.
The other lineup change will be on the Belgian back four where either Thomas Vermaelen or Vincent Kompany are vying to replace Dedryck Boyata at centerback.
