WWE has announced that Raw superstar Bray Wyatt, who was scheduled to face the B-Team at Extreme Rules for the Raw tag team championships, was involved in a car crash and is currently out of action due to injury.

WWE recently announced via its official website that Raw tag team champion Bray Wyatt was involved in a car accident last Friday and is now out of action due to multiple injuries.

“Wyatt was en route to the airport for this past weekend’s Raw WWE Live Events when he was in a head-on automobile collision that left his car totaled. He was treated at Tampa General Hospital and has since been released. Due to the injuries sustained, Wyatt did not compete at this weekend’s WWE Live Events and will not be present at tonight’s Raw.”

This is an unfortunate situation for Wyatt to be in, considering the fact that he dealing with multiple injuries and no update has been out on when he’ll be back in action. As he is still scheduled to face the B-Team at Extreme Rules for the Raw tag team championships alongside with Matt Hardy, plans could very well change from this point on for not only Wyatt, but for Hardy as well.

Now that Hardy is working under the “Woken” gimmick, which was considered a popular persona among serious wrestling fans, it’s going to be interesting what’s next for the gimmick if Wyatt doesn’t make it in time for Extreme Rules. But then again, it’s also worth wondering what’s next for Wyatt, as many fans and critics alike have criticized the way he’s been booked since his arrival on the main roster in 2013.

Regardless of what may happen to the characters of Hardy and Wyatt, let’s hope for a speed recovery for Wyatt.
