Sweden face Switzerland at Saint Petersburg Stadium on Tuesday, July 3. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Sweden entered their final group stage game, knowing a win would likely be enough to reach the round of 16. The Swedes did more than win, they breezed past Mexico winning 3-0 to win Group F. Switzerland beat Serbia and drew with Brazil and Costa Rica to finish second in Group E. The two nations meet in Saint Petersburg looking to book their spot in the quarterfinal.

Sweden have not made it to the quarterfinal since finishing third in 1994. Captain Andreas Granqvist is playing at the highest level in his career. Granqvist has been physical defending, helping Sweden keep two clean sheets, and clinical from the spot, converting two penalties. Along with Victor Lindelof, Sweden have a strong center-back pairing. However, if the Swedes are going to advance, they need to get more out of Emil Forsberg and Marcus Berg. Forsberg is Sweden’s most talented and creative player, while Berg led the team in scoring during qualifying. However, neither has had much success in the final third in Sweden’s first three games.

Switzerland have not reached the quarterfinal since they hosted the World Cup in 1954. However, that could change on Tuesday. While the Swiss lack a superstar they have players that feature on some of the best teams across Europe. Switzerland are strong at the back with Yann Sommer in net, Manuel Akanji at center-back and Ricardo Rodriguez and Stephan Lichtsteiner at full-back. The Swiss are able to play the ball out of the back, with Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri creating in midfield. However, the Swiss team do not have a great goalscoring option. Haris Seferovic and Breel Embolo will start up front for Switzerland but neither player has much luck scoring lately. The two players combined for only 10 goals in the club season and only five goals for the national team since the start of 2017.
