The New York Giants added Saquon Barkley, shored up their offensive line and hope to have Odell Beckham Jr. back, but what questions to they need to answer?

The team’s best player, Odell Beckham, Jr., broke his ankle Week 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers and missed the rest of the season.

Franchise icon Eli Manning was benched for the Week 13 game against the Oakland Raiders, ending his 210-game consecutive starts streak. Head coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese were fired the day after the game. Many fans were outraged over McAdoo voluntarily ending an important accomplishment for a franchise icon such as Manning.

The Giants brought in two men from two of the NFC’s most successful teams over the past two years. Pat Shurmur, who spent 2017 as the offensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings, was hired as head coach.

Dave Gettleman, who was curiously fired by the Carolina Panthers last summer, was hired as General Manager.

The team had the No. 2 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and selected Saquon Barkley to stabilize the running game. They appear to be loaded with young offensive weapons. Along with Beckham and Barkley, wide receiver Sterling Shepard put together a solid second season and rookie Evan Engram proved to be a reliable pass-catching option at tight end.
