The American League roster for the 2018 All-Star Game is absolutely loaded with Mike Trout, Manny Machado and Mookie Betts headlining the roster.

Good luck to the pitchers from the National League who will be tasked with the responsibility of shutting down the American League lineup during the All-Star Game.

With Mike Trout, Mookie Betts, Aaron Judge, Jose Ramirez, Manny Machado and Jose Altuve in the starting lineup, presumptive starter, Max Scherzer will have to bring his best stuff to keep the AL off the board. He’s certainly capable of doing so, which makes for must-see TV when the game takes place in Washington D.C. on July 17.

While the starting lineup is certifiably gifted, the same can be said for the pitching staff that includes Justin Verlander, Corey Kluber, Chris Sale, Gerrit Cole and closers Aroldis Chapman, Blake Treinen and Craig Kimbrel who will look to mow down the likes of Bryce Harper, Nolan Arenado and Freddie Freeman on the NL side.

The reserves are talented too with Alex Bregman, Nelson Cruz, Shin-Soo Choo and rookie Gleyber Torres making the club. Fighting for the last spot on the roster are Andrew Benintendi, Eddie Rosario, Jean Segura, Andrelton Simmons and Giancarlo Stanton.
