WNBA DFS Lineup Advice – 7/8/2018 (Fanduel and DraftKings)
By EJ Whelan
Welcome to the Sunday edition of WNBA DFS Lineup Advice, a fantasy basketball column dedicated to finding you the best key players and value picks on today’s slate to build your lineups around.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend and enjoying this awesome weather. We have 3 WNBA DFS games on the slate today starting at 3pm ET. Last night was another close call but we made it into the money (Bone wasn’t a great pick but enough people picked Banham, who also flopped, that it worked out in the end). We had a couple good fades last night (Moore, EDD) so that we were able to still win some money in GPPs. On short slates who you DON’T play can be just as important sometimes as who you DO play. With that said let’s jump into today’s slate, find some key players and value picks that you can build your lineup around, and go win some money!!!

WNBA DFS Lineup Advice – 7/8/2018
DAL @ NY
The Liberty hasn’t played well at home this year. They’ve only won 3 games at home this year and have lost 7, leaving MSG has definitely had an impact on the moral of the team. I don’t have much interest in this game, there may be a few mid-tier and value picks to be found, but I won’t be targeting any of the key players.
KEY PLAYERS:
Liz Cambage – Cambage is still a viable GPP option, but she lacks the consistency lately to make me want to stick her in my cash lineups. Out of the 3 forwards in her price range on DK I like her the best, but that’s not saying a whole lot today.
Skylar Diggins-Smith – Smith has only hit value twice in her last 10 games at this price tag. If I am going to pay up at guard today, it will be for Taurasi or Bonner.
Tina Charles – Every time I play Charles she flops, when I fade her she goes off. I’m not rushing to get her in my lineups. There’s some value up front today and I would rather pay up for one of the guards on this slate.
VALUE PICKS: Epiphanny Prince (FD)
PHO @ ATL
The Mercury travel to Atlanta to take on the Dream for the 2nd time this season. Phoenix is looking for the 5th win in a row and are 9-2 on the road this year. I think the spread for this game is a little low. I like the Mercury to win by at least 8 points.
KEY PLAYERS:
Diana Taurasi – Taurasi is one of my favorite plays on the slate today at guard. She doesn’t carry a lot of risk of tanking your lineup and has hit value in 5 out of her last 7 games. I like her for cash more than GPPs today.
DeWanna Bonner – Bonner has been playing lights out lately, but she still struggles to hit value at this price tag. I don’t know that I wanna pay that much for someone who plays 3rd fiddle in the offense.
Britney Griner – The slate isn’t filled with a ton of elite options up front. Atlanta’s defense rating is still the best in the league but I’m not against playing Griner in GPPs or cash today. She has the upside, and she has been fairly consistent. I will have some exposure to her today, but not too much.
Tiffany Hayes – Hayes has been starting to step back up for Atlanta since returning from injury. She played 33 minutes last game, and is capable of putting up big numbers but there are other options today I like more. I’d rather save some salary and play Brittany Sykes.
VALUE PICKS: Yvonne Turner (FD & DK)

WAS @ SEA
The night that we have all waited for is finally here. That’s right, it’s Breanna Stewart Bobblehead Night! Now that I got out of my system let’s talk about the game. The leaders of the Western and Eastern Conferences meet in the late game of the day. Washington played yesterday, defeating the Sparks 83-74. I expect this game to stay close and have a high score. A game stack could be in order, but it will tricking finding the right value in this game.

KEY PLAYERS:
Breanna Stewart – Once again Stewart is one of my favorite plays on the slate today. Her price is a little lower than some of the other options, and she has been consistent enough lately to make me feel safe about using her for cash or GPPs. She has been playing a little better on the road this year, but I still like her at home today in this game.
Elena Delle Donne – We faded EDD yesterday against the Sparks and it paid off, but I’m not so quick to write her off today. She did play 37 mins last night though, which makes me worry about her court time today. I would rather pay down for some of the mid-tier options on WAS, like LaToya Sanders, or a guard.
Sue Bird – Bird went from being a safe cash game option to a nice GPP play in their last game. It’s hard to pass her up with 60 assists in her last 6 games. She’s been playing a ton of minutes lately though, will tonight be the game that they rest her? I think its more likely she plays tonight and rests Tuesday. That way she will have almost a week off till they play next Saturday. Go ahead and stick her in your lineups today.
VALUE PICKS: Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis (FD) Tianna Hawkins (FD) Tierra Ruffin-Pratt (DK &FD)
