2. Robert Lewandowski

Lewandowski didn’t have a great World Cup, failing to find the net as Poland limped out at the group stage, which won’t endear him to Real, but if you’re looking for a short-term solution to replace Ronaldo’s goal, Lewandowski seems like the obvious choice.

He’s coming off his third Bundesliga top scorer award (bagging 29 of his 41 goals in league play) and he has openly spoken about his desire to leave Bayern this summer, with Madrid cited as a potential destination. He’s capable of scoring with both feet and he could team nicely with Hazard or Mbappe.

The issue with Lewandoski is that he’s 29. That would mean Real will be looking for another striker in a couple of seasons — not ideal, even with Perez’s checkbook. This, in combination with claims by Lewandowski’s agent that the player wants to stay with the Bavarian giants, casts doubt on a potential move.
