Welcome to the Friday edition of WNBA DFS Lineup Advice, a fantasy basketball column dedicated to finding you the best key players and value picks on today’s slate to build your lineups around.

Well – yesterday was no fun. Alana Beard left the court with a groin injury after playing for only five minutes, then Liz Cambage got ejected with 2 minutes left in the first half. I only played a few lineups on each site yesterday, and unfortunately my exposure to those players was pretty high. But that’s the great thing about DFS. There’s no time to bask in victories or mourn over a bad slate. Zen Buddhism teaches the importance of living in the present – good advice for DFS players, and a lesson I am trying my best to practice today. Haha.

For those of you stopping by for the first time, I would like to thank you for checking out WNBA DFS Lineup Advice here at FantasyCPR.com Here is a brief summary of what I cover in each article:

More from FanSided

  1. Game Times, O/U, Spreads from Oddshark.com
  2. Where to Play (Websites, contest rules and prizes)

  5. Two Value picks from each game  ( Under 4.5K on Fanduel, 6k on DraftKings)

Now that we have that out-of-the-way lets jump into the slate, find the best key players and value picks from tonight’s games to build our lineups around, and go win some money!!

WNBA DFS Key Players and Value Picks

CHI @ WAS

The Chicago Sky are giving up a whopping 88.2 points per game – the most in the league. They have lost 4 out their last 5 games and coming away with a win today isn’t looking very likely. The Mystics will need a win today to keep Atlanta off their heels in the Eastern Conference standings. They are averaging 84.7 points a game this season, and are heavy point favorites today. The spread is a little high, but so is the point total and I will be looking to target this game today for some of my lineups.

KEY PLAYERS:

Elena Delle Donne – EDD is one of my favorite plays on the slate today .She gets a great matchup against her former team. LineStar has her projected to score 40.92 fantasy points on Fanduel. Blowouts hurt the slate Wednesday, and there’s potential to see another night of lopsided games tonight – but I’m not too worried about EDD losing minutes. She’s safe enough for cash tonight and her last good GPP score came against Chicago. I will have a good amount of exposure to her today.

LaToya Sanders – Sanders is strictly a GPP play for me today. She only played 17 minutes last game, I expect her to get about 25 minutes tonight. The elite plays on the other side of the ball are a little too pricey for me today. The Sky are giving up around 30 fppg to centers. I will have more exposure to her on DK, where her price is only $7400.

VALUE PICKS:

Natasha Cloud – Cloud has played well recently,  and she has had two decent games against Chicago this year. She is a viable option for cash games or GPPs today. Her price is a little high on DK, but she is playable on Fanduel today.

Cheyenne Parker – Parker is a decent GPP option today. I like her more than Dolson, I just wish she spent a little more time on the court. She has been productive with her minutes lately though. She gets a decent matchup today, but carries a little more risk than some of the other value plays on the board.

IND @ ATL

The Dream are looking for their third win in a row. The Fever are looking for their third win of the season. Atlanta comes into this game hot, defeating the Mystics and the Mercury in their last two games. I’m not counting Indiana out today though, both of these teams rank at the bottom of the league in offensive efficiency. If Indiana is gonna pull off an upset in the East, this is the day to do it.

KEY PLAYERS:

Angel McCoughtry – She has been the most consistent player upfront for the Dream this year against the Fever. This will be the fourth time this season these two teams have met. She has scored an average of about 28 fantasy points in those games. That said, I don’t have much interest in her today. I would rather save some salary cap and roster Elizabeth Williams in my GPPs.

Tiffany Hayes – Hayes is my favorite key player from the Dream today. She get’s a much better matchup today than the front court players on ATL.  She’s a little expensive on DK, and a little risky for cash today. But if you want to spend up at guard today on Fanduel Hayes isn’t a bad option for GPPs.

VALUE PICKS:

Natalie Ochowna – Ochowna could be a sneaky play today. Atlanta gives up a decent amount rebounds and field goals to opposing centers. She has played big minutes against ATL this season and Indiana should lean on her again today to cover some of the big bodies upfront. Her price on DK is a little high, but she makes a decent GPP option on Fanduel today.

Cappie Pondexter – Didn’t have a good game last time out, but she’s playing over 20 minutes a game. At that price I will take a few chances on her today in my GPPs.

WNBA DFS Key Players and Value Picks (continued)

PHO @ CON

The Suns are looking to get revenge on the Mercury after losing 84-77 to them last Thursday. This time they get Phoenix at home. With the return of Alyssa Thomas and Courtney Williams, and the possible absence of Diana Taurusi, things are looking more favorable for the Suns this time around. There could be some value on the PHO side of the ball. Both teams play at a decent pace and the game should stay close. This is looking like one of the better games to target on the slate.

KEY PLAYERS:

Brittney Griner – I’m not big on Griner today, but with Diana Taurasi questionable and DeWanna Bonner’s price up she is the only elite player from the Mercury I have any interest in. With Thomas back the matchup won’t be easy though

Alyssa Thomas – I love Thomas today on both sites. She played 37 minutes in her first game and put up over 30 fantasy points. It’s not the best matchup, and Williams coming back might cap her usage a bit. She still has huge upside though, and as long as she stays at this price I’m gonna stick her in a few GPP lineups and hope for the best.

VALUE PICKS:

Camille Little – She’s getting a decent amount of minutes and has been more consistent than Angel Robinson. Both are worth GPP consideration today, but Little is the safer play.

Leilani Mitchell – Mitchell could get a nice run of minutes tonight if Taurusi misses tonight’s game. Either way she has been playing good off the bench. Banham and Clarendon are also GPP punt plays on Fanduel, but on DraftKings I would prefer Mitchell.

LV @ MIN

The Aces travel to Minnesota to take on the Lynx in the late game on the Slate. Injuries will be a factor in this game too. Rebekkah Brunson and Cecilia Zandalasini missed last game, opening up some minutes in the front court. The Aces play at the fastest pace in the league, Minnesota has the best defensive rating in the league. It’s always cool to see the young Aces upset some of the better teams in the league, but I don’t think that will be the case today.

KEY PLAYERS:

Maya Moore –  Moore has a great matchup today and great price on both sites today.  I like her for my cash lineups, but Sylvia Fowles is the better GPP play today especially on Fanduel. They are both in play for me today though, and a MIN stack upfront could work out well today.

A’ja Wilson – After a rough game I’m expecting a lot of people to fade the rookie today. LineStar has her projected to score 42.28 fantasy points tonight. The matchup is a tough one though, her price is high, and MIN shut her down the last time these two teams met. If you want to be contrarian today Wilson might be the play for you, but I won’t be taking that risk.

VALUE PICKS:

Temi Fagbenle / Endy Miyem – If Brunson and Zandalasini both miss tonight’s game again then either one of these players make a fine punt play. It will be important to keep an eye out on the situation today. Unfortunately this is the last game on the slate, so it may not be clear who will be playing until lineups have already locked. If you are playing on DK don’t worry about it too much, there are plenty of decent options to pivot too.

Danielle Robinson / Moriah Jefferson – Either one  is a decent option today if you want to save some salary space at guard.  I don’t really favor one of the other. They may not have the same upside as the cheap forwards in this game, but they are bit safer if you are worried about injury news coming out late.
