This article looks at three hitters you should consider starting this weekend in your fantasy baseball lineup.

David Peralta– OF Arizona Diamondbacks

In a year where the Diamondbacks haven’t gotten much from their outfield due to injuries, David Peralta has been a solid hitter in their lineup and for fantasy baseball owners. Overall, he’s had a pretty solid season, in which he’s hit .286 with 16 homers and 53 RBIs. He has been extremely impressive in his last 30 games, hitting .328 with 5 homers and 25 RBIs. David’s only has 8 walks in that span, but his OBP is still pretty high at .381. He will be on the road this weekend against Atlanta, facing LHP Sean Newcomb on Saturday and RHP Julio Teheran on Sunday. Look for Peralta to have more success against Teheran, as he is hitting .318 against RHPs but only .210 against LHPs.

Carlos Gonzalez– OF Colorado Rockies

There were many who believed that Carlos Gonzalez would not return to the Rockies after the 2017 season. However, he’s back for one more year, and he’s starting to heat up. Gonzalez is hitting .440 with 3 HRs and 10 RBIs in his last seven games. He is hitting .311 with 29 runs scored, 33 hits, and 14 RBIs in his last 30 games. Both his batting average and OBP have climbed each month, and like a lot of Rockies hitters, he is great at home, hitting .340 and slugging .632. This weekend, he has two home games against Seattle, and is facing a lefty in Wade LeBlanc and a righty in Mike Leake. Both are good matchups for CarGo; He has hit three homers off LeBlanc in 18 ABs, and while he doesn’t have much of a history against Leake, CarGo is hitting .302 against righties vs. only .250 against lefties.

C.J. Cron- 1B Tampa Bay Rays

C.J. Cron was probably one of the quietest acquisitions of the offseason, and he is having a career year for Tampa Bay. He’s already reached a new career high in home runs with 18, and he is red-hot over his last seven games, hitting .393 with 2 homers and 8 RBIs. Over his last 15 games, he has a slash line of .346/.393/..596. He takes on the Twins this weekend at Target Field. He’ll face RHP Jose Berrios on Saturday, but Minnesota has yet to announce their starter for Sunday’s contest. Cron also has good career numbers against the Twins: .312 with 4 homers and 15 RBIs in 23 games.
