Twitter reacts to Novak Djokovic’s Wimbledon win
Novak Djokovic has won his fourth Wimbledon in his fifth final at the All England Club and the world celebrated his long return to top form.
Novak Djokovic is tennis’ comeback kid this year, celebrating with his own kid — adorable, 3-year-old Stefan — cheering him on from the players box. After two difficult years of a drop in form, injury and upheavals among his coaching staff, the world No. 21 has won a Grand Slam again, proving that this comeback is the real thing and that he’s back on top.
He will move back into the Top 10 once the ATP rankings come out on Monday. With his 69th ATP title in, the world celebrated his return to slams. The only person who probably isn’t that happy is Pete Sampras, whose 14 slam tally Djokovic sits right behind (and is likely to equal or surpass).
