Wondering how, where and when you can watch Nat Geo Wild’s Shark vs. Tuna? Don’t worry! We’ve got you covered.

As we head into the end of the summer that means one thing and one thing only for “scientific” television networks — and that’s sharks, sharks and more sharks.

Yes, the end of the summer is for sharks what the winter is for bad Hallmark movies, and the summer of 2018 will be no different.

This year, National Geographic is trying to compete with the big fish in the shark television game, Discovery Channel, by having their own version of Shark Week.

This event will include many types of shark-based television and will, luckily, not feature anything as crazy as Michael Phelps racing a Great White Shark.

However, Nat Geo will feature a short series featuring a showdown between a shark and another creature that the network dubs “nearly twice the length of man and as heavy as a horse.”

I’m talking of course, about a Yellowfin Tuna. Shark vs. Tuna premieres on Nat Geo on Monday, July 16.

This might be one of the strangest animal vs. animal showdown series that I’ve ever heard of, but, Nat Geo does a very good job at hyping it up as you can see in the official synopsis below.

"A clash of true oceanic titans fought in the remote battlefields of Ascension Island. Tuna are often faster, fitter and bigger than the sharks."

I initially had zero interest in watching this, but now I’m going to have to check it out.

Here is how, where and when you can watch Nat Geo’s Shark vs. Tuna:

Date: Sunday, July 15
Time: 9:30 p.m.
Channel: Nat Geo Wild
Stream: Nat Geo Wild, or with a free seven-day trial from FuboTV.

With Shark Week beginning the weekend of July 22, Nat Geo’s shark fest should be a good primer for the real deal.
