  • Doak Walker Award (2011)
  • Consensus All-American (2011)
  • SEC Offensive Player of the Year (2011)

Despite being Alabama’s second option at running back, Richardson still gained over 1,400 yards on the ground and scored 14 touchdowns during his first two seasons. He also hauled in 400 receiving yards, caught four touchdowns and returned a kickoff for a touchdown as a sophomore in 2010.

After Mark Ingram declared for the NFL Draft following the 2010 seasons, Richardson became the Tide’s feature back and spent the 2011 season tearing up the SEC and college football, helping Alabama to a second National Title in three years. Richardson’s 2011 season totals included 1,679 rushing yards, 21 touchdowns and 338 receiving yards, all higher numbers than Ingram’s 2009 Heisman-winning campaign.

Trent finished his tenure at Alabama with two national championships, just under 4,000 all-purpose yards, and a career average of 5.8 yards per carry and 10.7 yards per reception.

Key Stat: Richardson had over 100 yards in 12 of his 13 games as a junior in 2011.
