3.  Corey Perry

Forward Corey Perry’s 50-goal campaign with the Anaheim Ducks back in 2010-11 seems like it’s much farther away than it actually is, and in large part because the winger hasn’t netted at least 20 goals in a season in over two years.

Yet, that’s not to say that Perry isn’t poised to have a comeback season in 2018-19 and with the Ducks.

The two-time NHL all-star will more than likely adapt his game and get back on track towards being at least a 30-goal scorer, again. Soon to be 33-years-old, there’s still plenty to offer from the veteran forward and 2010-11 Hart Memorial Trophy winner.

Anaheim had its fair share of struggles offensively last season, especially on the power play. Adjustments will be made by management, but Perry’s performance level is what keeps the Ducks’ offensive capabilities flowing. The future of Anaheim’s offense should help support and affect Perry’s offensive production, especially in goals column.

Skaters such as Rickard Rakell, Adam Henrique and a healthy Ryan Kesler could team up and impact Perry’s potential and expected bounce back season in Southern California with the Ducks in 2019. After experiencing a scoring drought of 12 straight games early on in the 2017-18 campaign, and not finding the back of the net once during the team’s first round exit to the San Jose Sharks in the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs, there’s plenty of room for Perry’s production to excel moving forward with Anaheim.

Don’t worry, Orange County, Perry won’t be compared to another former 50-goal scorer whose offensive production quickly dropped in Danny Heatly.
