7,000-8,000

Tyrell Hatton ($7,900)
Hatton’s recent play has to have DFS players thinking great value for the British Open. He went T6 at Shinnecock, T16 at the French Open and then T9 at the Scottish last weekend. If he’ keeps that form, he could be a boom play here.

Ian Poulter ($7,800)
T30 at the Scottish Open isn’t the greatest thing to see, but Poulter overall this season has been a steady bet. He’s made his last 10 cuts and has top-30 finishes in his last seven tournaments. Should he keep it up, he could be worth his price.

Matthew Fitzpatrick ($7,600)
Fitzpatrick had a strong showing at the U.S. Open, and then again at the Scottish Open. While he’s not an elite player and the price might be steep here, he’s an intriguing risky play that has high end reward potential.

Thomas Pieters ($7,600)
Golf fans have heard the buzz about Pieters before, and he might be ready to make good on the hype, coming off of a T6 at the Scottish Open. If he brings it at this major, he’s good enough to contend to win.

Luke List ($7,500)
In truth, the reason that List is on here is finishing with a T3 at the Scottish Open, which could be a big help for him at this course for The Open. It would be a flyer and a risk at this point, but one that could pay off.

Brandt Snedeker ($7,300)
Snedeker’s biggest issue has long been consistency, but his top-end play throughout the 2018 season has been impressive, including tying for third his last time out at The Greenbrier. If he can put it together, he has the game to succeed at Carnoustie.

Zach Johnson ($7,200)
Three-straight top-25 finishes to go with 11 overall this year shows the consistency of Zach Johnson. What’s more, the Iowan has a game that’s tailormade to the challenges that the tournament is going to offer, which is music to DraftKings players ears.

Tony Finau ($7,200)
Finau is a great value here. He’s a guy that has proven to be able to contend in any tournament, including finishing outright fifth at the brutal U.S. Open and T10 through an injury at Augusta. Though it’ll be a test, I see tremendous value in the big fella.

Padraig Harrington ($7,100)
Truth be told, there’s no way Harrington should be on this list. He’s missed more cuts (11) than he’s made (9) this season and is coming off being cut at the Scottish Open. Yet, he wont the British Open at Carnoustie the last time it was here, so you have to respect that with your DraftKings picks with some consideration.

Charley Hoffman ($7,000)
When you take a first look at Hoffman, you likely see just one top-10 finish this season. However, what that doesn’t show you is his six top-25 finishes in his last 10 tournaments, including going top 20 at the first two majors of the year. Potentially great value here.
