The Open 2018: What time does Round 2 start?
The British Open 2018 is well under way at Carnoustie, but what time can you catch the Round 2 action at The Open Championship on Friday, July 20?
Every golf fan was expecting some wildness in the first round of the 2018 British Open and we most certainly got it. The baked out fairways in Carnoustie, Scotland delivered madness off of the tees with balls carrying for dozens of yards without rhyme or reason. No amount of practice can really prepare you for that type of play, especially with the pressure of The Open Championship on top of it.
It was clear though that the early tee times on Thursday were beneficial. Kevin Kisner was one of the first players to hit the course and he set the pace heading into Round 2 of the British Open, shooting an opening round 66. That’s the mark to beat with several players trailing him not far behind. The afternoon, however, made things tougher as players struggled to stay under par.
Tiger Woods faired well early in his afternoon round, but started to succumb to the tiresome back-nine at The Open, dropping a bit further back from the lead, but still well within striking distance. Dustin Johnson, on the other hand, finished his round 5-over par, 10 strokes off the lead of Kisner.
Still, this is anyone’s tournament at this point and Round 2 could start to make the contenders to win The Open more apparent. As such, you’ll want to be sure to tune in on Friday, July 20 for that. But when does the second round of the British Open start?
