Here’s how to stream the 2018 edition of The Open Championship from Carnoustie.

For the first time in 11 years, The Open Championship returns to historic Carnoustie, which plays host to golf’s oldest major for the eighth time. Defending champion Jordan Spieth, who was at the top of the leaderboard all week a year ago in a three-shot victory at Royal Birkdale, is just one of 156 of the top players in the world that will tee it up early Thursday morning in Scotland.

Along with Spieth, the top 50 players in the world, including world number one Dustin Johnson, Masters champion Patrick Reed and back-to-back U.S. Open champ Brooks Koepka, are all expected in the field this week. Also making his return to The Open Championship for the first time in three years is three-time champion Tiger Woods, so they’ll certainly be plenty to keep up with as The Open Championship rolls along.

For the third consecutive year, Golf Channel and NBC will be handling the television side of things (be sure to check out a seven-day free trial of FuboTV) but if you happen to be away from a television when coverage gets going, there are a few streaming options out there for you. The best option out there will be the NBC Sports app.

NBC owns Golf Channel, who will be the only ones in the U.S. with TV coverage the first two days, so having that option on the app is crucial. You’ll also to be able to watch NBC coverage on Saturday and Sunday with that app as well. GolfChannel.com will have some things going with some featured groups and holes, as will TheOpen.com, but the NBC Sports app will give you the most out of this golf tournament.

In addition, please don’t forget about the time difference. Carnoustie, which is located in Angus, Scotland, is five hours ahead of the Eastern time zone and eight hours ahead of Pacific so be sure to adjust accordingly if you want to watch things live.
