WNBA DFS Lineup Advice – 7/20/2018

SEA @ CON – 7pm ET

The Storm will head east to take on the Connecticut Suns in the first game on the slate. Seattle is averaging 87.7 points a game this year, the Suns are right behind them with 86. Seattle has the best offensive rating in the league at 108.5, on defense it’s 99.1. It’s no secret that I like betting the over when Seattle plays, and today is no different. I’m a bit surprised to see the Suns as favorites here, so betting on Seattle to win too seems like an easy double down.  For DFS purposes it’s gonna be hard to stack this game because of the price tags, but there are still some players worth targeting for our lineups.

KEY PLAYERS:

Breanna Stewart – Stewart is a tough call for me today. She’s put up over 40 fantasy points in each of her last six and impacted the game on both side of the court. LineStar has her projected to score 45.68 points on Fanduel. The matchup won’t be easy though, and her price on DK is a little steep. That said, it should be a high scoring game and Stewart should stay heavily involved. I will still have a decent amount of exposure to her in my lineups tonight, I’m just not as keen on her as I usually am.

Alyssa Thomas – Thomas hasn’t exactly been clutch since returning from injury but she’s still the only Suns player I wanna roster. You could save $1000 and go with one of the guards from CON but Thomas has a safer floor and a higher ceiling.  Ogwumike has only played 42 mins over the last 3 games, I prefer her sister today. I’m not rushing to stick Alyssa Thomas in my lineups, but she’s the only option in orange I would consider paying up for.

VALUE PICKS:  Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis (FD & DK)  Shekinna Stricklen (FD)

Layshia Clarendon (FD &DK)

DAL @ CHI – 8pm ET

Liz  Cambage and the red-hot Wings hope to keep their momentum going against the Chicago Sky when these two teams play tonight at 8pm ET. The Sky have the worst defensive ranking in the WNBA at 109.6 giving up 89.6 points a game. The Dallas offense averages 88 pts per game with a rating of 106.6 through 23 games. The point total for this game looks good, but I think the spread is a little low. I expect a lot of people to target this matchup. If Chicago can stay in the game there should be plenty of points to go around.

KEY PLAYERS:

Liz Cambage – Cambage has been breaking records left and right this week. She is playing on the second day of a back-to-back though, and spent 37 minutes on the floor last night. However, it’s hard to fade anyone playing against Chicago, and she put up  over 60 fantasy points against them last time out. LineStar has her projected to score 44.41 points on Fanduel. I won’t have 100% exposure to her today, but I don’t wanna be the guy chasing the money line if she goes off again.

Diamond DeShields – I don’t love DeShields today, but she has been relatively consistent recently and the price isn’t too bad. She played well against Dallas earlier this year, and does well in fast paced matchups. I expect her ownership to be pretty low today. Jewell Loyd isn’t a bad pivot if you want someone with a little more GPP upside, but I feel good about putting DD in my cash lineups today.

VALUE PICKS: Astou Ndour (FD & DK) Kahleah Cooper (FD & DK)

WNBA DFS Lineup Advice – 7/20/2018

IND @ LOS – 10:30pm ET

The Indiana Fever head to the coast to take on the Los Angeles Sparks in the late game. It’s no surprise that this game has the lowest point total on the slate. Neither team averages over 80 points a game on offense, and they both play at the slowest pace in the league. Indiana has a defensive rating of 106.5 and allow 85.3 points per game. The Sparks are 8-4 at home this year and should have no problem dispatching the visiting Fever. Not so sure they will cover that high spread though. Keep an eye out for the status Alana Beard, she is doubtful for now, if she misses it will open up some value again today in the Sparks lineup.

KEY PLAYERS:

Candace Parker – Parker is definitely in play for me today. She has scored over 60 fantasy points in two out of her last three games. LineStar has her projected to score 38.07 fantasy points today on Fanduel. She’s had plenty of rest, and should be ready to go today. However, most of her big games have come on the road, where she is shooting 44.1% from behind the arch, compared to 29% at home. Indiana’s defense hasn’t been great at stopping the three this year, allowing shooters to go 35.6% from deep. I like Parker chances today, and will have plenty of exposure to her in my lineups.

Chelsea Gray – Gray is another Spark that I have a lot of interest in today. She gets a great matchup, and has played well against Indiana this year. She has an offensive rating of 106.4 and a usage rate of 21.5% against Indiana in two games this year. Her price is fair on both sites, and she’s only of the only top-tier guards I wanna pay up for today. I won’t have a lot of exposure to Gray but she will find her way into a few lineups.
