Welcome to the Wednesday edition of WNBA DFS Lineup Advice, a fantasy basketball column dedicated to finding you the best key players and value picks on today’s slate to build your lineups around.

Yesterday was a bit of a mess, especially on Fanduel. With all the late injury news and lineups locking at 7pm there were some unexpected changes that impacted the slate. All signs pointed to Simms not playing, but it was Ogwumike who missed another game for the Sparks.

Moving on from that,  we have a special edition of WNBA DFS Lineup Advice today for the single game GPPs on Fanduel and DraftKings. Most other sites don’t bother doing write-ups for single game slates. Some analysts don’t want to  “waste their time” on a short slate. Others are afraid of making recommendations with such a small player pool where there is less room for error and mistakes are magnified. Here at FantasyCPR.com no potato is too small, if there’s a WNBA slate – we want to help you win money – whether it is for 1 game or 6 games!

MVP, ALL-STAR, PRO PICKS :

Dewanna Bonner – Bonner is about the only sure thing for Phoenix right now. Griner is probable with back spasms and Taurasi is suspended for this game. She’s gonna have to step up and score today, and she has no problem filling out the rest of the stat sheet. She get’s a great matchup today. LineStar has her projected to score 30.66 points on Fanduel. Bonner is a viable MVP candidate today, especially if Griner misses.

Brittney Griner –  She is probable, but with back spasms the situation can turn at any moment. Luckily we should know more about her status before lineups lock. That said, even if she starts, I’m not sure she will play the whole game. She’s a bit of a risk today, but the upside is worth it. LineStar has her projected to score 37.26 points on Fanduel and 37.14 points on DraftKings.

Courtney Vandersloot – Sloot has been on fire the last few games should be in one your top 3 spots on FD, and is a good option for MVP today on DraftKings. With Taurasi out Bonner will have a safer floor today, but Vandersloot can still put up big numbers. LineStar has her projected to score 35.18 points on DraftKings today.

Diamond Deshields – DeShields is another player who will make there way into my top 3 today if Griner misses. We don’t have any projections available to the public today, but she get’s a decent matchup and has played consistently well over the last few weeks. She doesn’t have the highest upside of the bunch, but if you are looking for a solid and safe player to stick in your lineups DeShields is the way to go.

WNBA DFS – UTILITY PICKS:

Camille Little – Little hasn’t produced much the last few times out, and her minutes tend to fluctuate from game to game. But you are not going to find many players below 5k today who spend as much time on the court as her. The opportunity is there, what she makes of it is a whole other story.

Angel Robinson –  Angel looks like she is due for a good game here. Her playing time trends indicate she will be on the floor today for around 25 minutes, maybe more if Griner misses. When she’s on the court she produces, and in this matchup she should do well. LineStar has her projected to score 15.21 points on Fanduel today.

Kahleah Copper –  I’m not big on Copper today, there is too much value on the Phoenix side of the ball. If you are looking for a low-owned player though and willing to take the risk, she could be a sneaky pick.

Stephanie Talbot – Talbot got big minutes last game and was able to put up around 24 fantasy points. That was a rare occurrence though, and I’m not sure we are inline for a repeat performance today. If Griner misses I will have some exposure to Talbot.

Gabby Williams – Williams has struggled a little bit lately and her minutes are declining. I would rather pay up a little for Dolson or Parker today. LineStar has Williams projected to score 19.13 points on DraftKings today. At her price, there are better options on the slate.

Yvonne Turner – Turner is a little pricey on Fanduel but I may have some exposure to her today on DraftKings. She’s got upside, but rarely plays over 20 minutes in a game. According to Jeff Metcalfe of The Arizona Republic, Turner is supposed to be entering the starting five for Phoenix today. I’m not rushing to stick her in my lineups today though
