The Tricky Triangle beckons for the drivers of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, so we tell you how to watch all the action from Long Pond live.

Pocono Raceway is a track that creates its own headaches for Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series crew chiefs thanks to its three different corners. On Sunday at the Gander Outdoors 400, you can add starting position to those pains for many of the top drivers.

Post-qualifying inspection gremlins reared their ugly heads for a total of 13 different Cup Series teams, all of whom were sent to the back of the field. The primary beneficiary was Daniel Suarez, who turned in the third-fastest time but now finds himself with his first ever Busch Pole Award. He’ll likely have to fend off early challenges from his own Joe Gibbs Racing teammates, as Denny Hamlin and Erik Jones will start right behind him.

Another driver who probably isn’t upset about so many cars being sent to the back is June Pocono race winner Martin Truex Jr., who will roll off eighth. Sweeping the Tricky Triangle would give Truex five wins on the season, pulling him even with Kyle Busch and just one victory behind Kevin Harvick. Working to Truex’s potential benefit is the fact that both of the other members of the Big 3 were among those penalized in inspection.

Then again, maybe Suarez can take advantage of his unexpected pole and run well enough to be in contention for his first Cup Series checkered flag. Ryan Blaney proved that it’s not impossible last year, though he didn’t have to contend with three drivers as hot as the Big 3 has been in 2018.
