The college football season is going to be a fun and exciting one, except for these teams who are going to finish in the basement of their conference.

As the college football season draws closer, fans are anxious about how their teams will fair in their conferences. The unfortunate thing is, someone has to be in the cellar.

Most know schools such as Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma are the resounding favorites to win their conference championships. However, today is not the day for these teams to be in the spotlight. Today is a time to look at who might be bringing up the rear in all eleven FBS conferences. This is a list no team wants to be on.

Some last-place teams from 2017 may slightly be better but have losing seasons written all over them for 2018. Whether it is due to a loss of good talent, a coaching change, or just a reputation of being a cellar dweller school, determines if schools are primed for a setback year or worse a one or two-season.

A few teams featured on this list have coaches on the hot seat and landing on here is not a good way to open fall camp. In today’s college football, there has never been more pressure on coaches to succeed and turn programs around in a major way. If a turnaround does not come this year for these coaches, most on this countdown might be looking for new gigs in 2018.

The College Football Playoff and a conference title are the ultimate goals for a team every year. However, for the schools on this list a 4-8, 5-7 or 6-6 record will be considered a breakout year and definitely be exceeding expectations. Some coaches love bulletin board material and finding their team here could be more fuel for the fire in 2018.

Without further delay, here is a prediction of who will finish last in every conference
