21. Sam Darnold, New York Jets

The New York Jets had to be pretty surprised when Sam Darnold was available with their first selection in the first round of the 2018 Draft. Despite having 48 quarterbacks currently on its roster, they felt that Darnold is their man for the future and some feel he could be the best signal-caller in a deep class.

With Josh McCown still needing a handful of teams to check off his “play for every team in the NFL” bucket list, Darnold is ready to step into the intense New York spotlight. Thankfully for Darnold, his last few years spent under the bright lights of Hollywood and USC should prepare him for this very moment.

We’ve yet to see Darnold’s skills with the beanbag, but he has all the physical traits that you want to see in a great beanbag thrower. He has height, some deceptive speed, and great underhand form. Darnold even looks like a guy who would have had several regulation-size cornhole boards laying around his dorm room at any given moment.

How Darnold fares in his rookie campaign will tell us a lot of about his future as a cornholer, but the Jets are certainly hoping they’ve found their franchise cornholer for years to come.
