18. Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions

Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has been in the upper tier of NFL quarterbacks ever since he arrived in the league in 2009, and his resume alone is enough to land him in the top 20 of our cornhole potential list.

Stafford has just three playoff games under his belt, however, leaving a lot to be desired in terms of leading his team to the verge of Super Bowls and cornhole championships.

One thing that is going in Stafford’s favor is his friendship with Los Angeles Dodgers star pitcher Clayton Kershaw, who Staffford grew up with in their native Texas. Kershaw is a pretty solid cornhole player himself and there’s no doubt some of that skill has rubbed off onto Stafford.

If Stafford and Kershaw were to unite on the cornhole pitch, there’s no telling where their combined skills would take them. They would certainly have a chance to be the most dominant cornhole duo since you and that random stranger you played with at the bar one time. Their name started with a J, right? Or was it a W?
