It’s a shame Seattle was stripped of their franchise. Dennis Johnson, Gus Williams, Jack Sikma, and the 1979 champs deserved better.
Many would argue the 1996 Sonics gave Jordan and the Bulls the best fight of any Finals opponent. His Airness never shot worse on the big stage and the Glove might’ve had something to do with that.
It feels like only yesterday the Durant, Westbrook, James Harden Thunder were going to be a future dynasty. Windows open and close in the blink of an eye in the NBA.
Today, the Oklahoma faithful place their trust in Russ and hope he and George can find chemistry that simply never existed between him and Durant.
