With only 30 seasons to their name, the Heat are still in NBA infancy. Every other team in the top 10 has been in the league for 50-plus years. The Heat were competitive from the jump, making the playoffs in just their fourth season, flying high behind Steve Smith and Glen Rice.

Less than a decade into their existence, Mourning and Hardaway were taking on Jordan and Scottie Pippen in the Conference Finals.

Wade and an end-of-his-prime O’Neal carried the Heat to new heights, winning in 2006. James, Wade, and Chris Bosh made them the premier franchise to the start the decade.

Pat Riley has forced the Heat into a corner with some poor signings of late but the franchise on a whole has been insanely successful given their short run.
