The Rock surprises the stunt double Rock with a brand new custom pickup truck

Dwayne Johnson, or “The Rock,” is a massive superstar and all-around good person. Buying his stunt man, cousin and long-time friend Tanoai Reed a massive truck is just another example of his kindness and generosity that we’ve come to love.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is probably the biggest celebrity on Earth. So much so that 99 percent of the movies he stars in are box office smash hits (the only one in recent history that needed saving was Baywatch).

Despite being perhaps the most famous actor/athlete/personality of all time, Johnson is also one of the nicest. He’s amazing to his fans, frequently pulling over his vehicle for meet and greets no matter how busy his schedule is (hint: VERY busy).

His fans aren’t the only people he’s great to. Rock’s long time stuntman and cousin Tanoai Reed has been by his side working as his stunt double since The Scorpion King in 2001. The massive Samoan not only does a great job keeping up with the Rock’s workout routines, but he can now keep up with him on the road too.

Reed thought that he was going to be answering some questions about his career working with The Rock, but little did he know that there was a monster surprise waiting for him a few feet away.

You can feel the genuine surprise and the love afterward when the Reed sees the truck. These two spent the better part of 17 years working together and they seem like best friends. Reed had some kind words to say about his partner after the surprise as well:

"I’m still in complete shock from the surprise and so very humbled by his gesture of gratitude and post below . I’m truly blessed with the most amazing brother/boss/friend in @therock and the amazing team he surrounds himself with has truly become my extended family. Behind someone as successful as The Rock is a team of people like Reed who are willing to put in every ounce of effort on a daily basis. It’s rare that we see behind-the-scenes people get recognized for their hard work, but when it comes to Johnson, well, he may have surprised Reed but this is hardly surprising to us. 

This is yet another example of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson being good to the people around him. There’s nothing stopping this man from being the greatest and most likeable celebrity to ever be in Hollywood.
