4. Pittsburgh Steelers

Mack just feels like a player that should be lining up for the vaunted Steelers defense. He fits Mike Tomlin’s personality perfectly. He also happens to play a position of great need for Pittsburgh.

The team spent a first round pick on Bud Dupree in 2015, but he hasn’t lived up to his hype on the field. He only produced 40 pressures on 354 pass rushing snaps last season. Needless to say, the Steelers would like to get more production from that position on the field. Adding an average pass rusher at Dupree’s spot would be a big boost for the Steelers. Adding Mack would be significantly better than that.

Bringing Mack to the Steel City would allow every member of the Pittsburgh defense to find their proper comfort zone. T.J. Watt has some serious ability as a pass rusher, but he shouldn’t be counted on as a defense’s number one option. The same can be said about Stephon Tuitt at the defensive end position.

Mack would clearly be an expensive trade target for the Steelers, but they are a team that needs to be in win now mode. Ben Roethlisberger isn’t going to be under center forever. Making a massive move for a player of Mack’s caliber might keep the team’s Super Bowl window open for another season or two.
