Los Angeles Dodgers

Last season, the Los Angeles Dodgers were the best team in the National League, making it all the way to the World Series to take on the Houston Astros. Unfortunately for Dodgers fans, the Astros were able to beat them in the Fall Classic, but they have reloaded for another opportunity to win the title in 2018.

First came the biggest deal of the trading season, as the Dodgers sent five prospects to the Baltimore Orioles for Manny Machado. One of the best young players in the game, Machado may be a one-year rental for the Dodgers, which means the hope is he can bring home a title, and then they can lock him up to a long-term deal.

During the July 31 trade deadline, the Dodgers brought in another play who is going to help their offense in a trade with the Minnesota Twins. That player is Brian Dozier, who went from a measly draft pick by the Twins to being a power hitting second baseman, who has All-Star potential every single season.

The Dodgers had to give the Twins Logan Forsythe in the deal with the Twins, but they are getting a far better player in Dozier. Entering July 31, the Dodgers were already in first place in the NL West, albeit by only a half a game, so the addition of these two bats in the lineup are definitely going to help them.

The NL West is going to be one of the better battles to watch during the last two months of the regular season, but the Dodgers seem to be the best team of the bunch. They have incredible experience playing in the World Series last year, and could be the team to represent the National League once again this Fall.
