2. Will the defense be improved ?

The Colorado Avalanche have had a problem with the defense. It’s no secret that defense is their weakness. It can be a problem if they don’t address it. This offseason they have tried to make a few moves but will be enough. They have a few good defensemen like Erik Johnson and Tyson Barrie. But that may not be enough.

As we saw last season when they faced some really good teams, what defense do they have at this point? They did not make too moves to help remedy that problem. This could be a problem as they go into the season. Its an important position that helps get past the other team. It can plague them if they don’t address it soon.

Defense is always a question for the Avalanche. They struggle at this position and they need to get it together. Hopefully they can improve at the position or they maybe in trouble. The season is fast approaching and this is still a question. How will it affect the play of the team overall? This will be something everyone is waiting to see. It could affect how the lines are put together to make sure the stronger links are in the first two lines.

The hope is that Tyson Barrie and Erik Johnson still healthy. That they continue to play like they have been. But that may not be enough. They have some younger players that look to improve this season and they might help. We will have to see what happens.
