Welcome to the  Saturday edition of WNBA DFS Lineup Advice, a fantasy basketball column dedicated to finding you the best key players and value picks on today’s slate to build your lineups around.

There are a lot of DFS players upset with Fanduel right now. I understand their frustration, I lost a good amount of money last night too because of the Las Vegas vs. Washington Mystics game being canceled. It’s hard to blame Fanduel though, when the Aces social media accounts spent more time yesterday sending out funny GIFs and cute emojis, instead of giving people a more straightforward assessment of the situation. I know the people who are handling the social media accounts for these teams are supposed to be “entertaining” but c’mon. Not cool.

When I contacted Fanduel on LiveChat last night this was the response. /

That said, we have a special single-game edition of WNBA DFS Lineup Advice today. Most other sites don’t bother doing write-ups for single-game slates. Some analysts don’t want to  “waste their time” on a short slate. Others are afraid of making recommendations with such a small player pool where there is less room for error and mistakes are magnified. Here at FantasyCPR.com no potato is too small, if there’s a WNBA slate – we want to help you win money – whether it is for 1 game or 6 games!

We will be discussing which players to put in your MVP, STAR, and PRO positions on Fanduel, and your DraftKings MVP. We will also cover who to use at Utility, the over/under and the spread, and some Final Thoughts on the game. It’s important to remember these articles are just a first look at the slate. 3 p.m. ET     Indiana Fever  (4-23)  vs.  New York Liberty  (7-19)  160 O/U  NY -6.5

IND -Off rating 79.5   Def rating 106.5   Pace  78.9   Off ppg 75.4   Def ppg   85
NY – Off rating  98.6   Def rating  106  Pace  79.3   Off ppg  78.8   Def ppg  85.1

MVP :

Tina Charles –  Charles leads the way today and is really the only MVP option on the slate. She leads the league in usage with a rate of 29.4%. She has played a little better on the road this year, but I’m not too worried about her splits today. LineStar has her projected to score 31.86 points on Fanduel. The number isn’t huge but in this game, you will be hard pressed to find a better MVP candidate for your lineups.

STARS AND PROS:

Candice Dupree – Candice has been playing big minutes lately and had scored in double-digit figures in her last six games. She is the closest thing to an offensive threat on the Fever side of the ball. LineStar has her projected to score 27.69 points on Fanduel.

Natalie Achowna – Achowna can produce when she’s on the floor but she rarely plays over 30 minutes a game. LineStar has her projected to score 25.93 points on Fanduel. Dupree has a safer floor but if you are looking for solid GPP option with a little less ownership, Achowa might be the play for you.

Brittany Boyd –  Boyd is another player that doesn’t see the court a lot, but can put up big points when she get’s her opportunities. She’s been dropping dimes left and right lately and grabs a fair share of rebounds. She took 14 shots last game, it was nice to see her firing the ball at the rim more. If she can knock down some baskets today, and feed Charles she should have no problem returning value.

UTILITY PICKS:

Cappie Pondexter – You won’t find anyone else at this price point on Fanduel who is playing around 30 minutes a game. Her price on DK is a little high though, and I won’t have as much exposure to here there. LineStar has her projected to score 16.77 on Fanduel.

Sugar Rodgers – Prince and Zellous are set to miss another game giving Rodgers another opportunity to take the court as a starter. She has played fairly well recently, with 16 points and 6 assists in her last outing. She’s 6k on both sites and should find her way into a few of your lineups. Linestar has her projected to score 19.18 on DraftKings.

Victoria Vivians – She played 38 minutes last game and put up close to 30 fantasy points. She doesn’t do much to fill up the stat sheet though, and if her shot isn’t falling it could be a long day for anyone who rostered her. She gets a few steals here and there, NY gives up about 7 per game. LineStar has her projected to score 17.16 on Fanduel.

Amada Zahui B – I am bit a hesitant to play Zahui B today. It’s not that she’s a bad play, I just haven’t had the best luck with her. She has been playing decent minutes though, but against a smaller Indiana lineup, she might not see the court as much. LineStar has her projected to score 14.21 points on Fanduel.

FINAL THOUGHTS

  1. If you played on Fanduel last night and had players in the Aces/Mystics games I would suggest contacting Fanduel. They told me last night they would be offering some sort of credit to costumers.
  2. I’m having a hard time deciding whether to bet the over or the under on this game. Both teams have lackluster offenses but their defenses aren’t gonna slow anybody down either. I am leaning towards over, with IND covering the spread.
  3.  The guards for Indiana are all in play today, I like Tiffany Mitchell on DraftKings, Wheeler on Fanduel as pivots.
  4.  I will be playing a little more on DK today, the pricing affords a little more creativity with roster construction.
  5.  Injuries that could impact the slate: Epiphanny Prince (Out) , Shavonte Zellous (Out) , Shenise Johnson (Ques)
