If the NBA Africa game was any indication, Danilo Gallinari is ready to bounce back in a big way during the 2018-19 NBA season.

There was a lot of fun to be had in the 2018 NBA Africa Game, especially for any Italian NBA fans. Danilo Gallinari was scorching hot all game, and he received game MVP honors due to his efficient scoring.

Gallo dropped 23 points on just ten attempted field goals, nine of which were makes. Gallinari reminded anybody watching that he is quite the scorer, one who averaged nearly 19 points per game across his final two seasons with the Denver Nuggets.

Last season was Gallinari’s first with the Los Angeles Clippers, and it wasn’t one to remember. A few injury concerns greatly limited the dynamic forward, who totaled just 21 games as a Clipper.

The Clips might be most enthusiastic about a non-scoring stat from the NBA Africa Game — Gallo played 28 minutes, more than any other participant in the game. He looks good, even beyond the statistics. That’s a positive sign for a player who has had his fair share of injuries.

Gallinari has played 60 or more games just four times in his 10-year NBA career, and he missed the entirety of the 2013-14 season due to an ACL injury. With some luck, hopefully the 2018-19 NBA season will be Gallo’s first full year with the Clippers.

If he can get right again, Gallinari adds a whole lot of scoring bunch to LA. Gallo scored 18.8 points on 37.8 percent field goal shooting across those last two Denver seasons. The man can get buckets if he’s on the floor. The NBA will be better if he’s out there often this coming season.
