Thursday night features a full slate of NFL preseason games and the best way to watch your favorite team might be via the internet.
In most cases, you can catch your local NFL team’s preseason action on a local TV channel. Those of us who live out-of-market or just want to watch multiple games need to find other options. Luckily, the internet has several streaming options.
The easiest would be to go to NFL.com, click the watch tab at the top of the page and sign into your TV provider. That would give you online access to the games that are airing on the NFL Network.
Of course the games are on NFL Network through services with providers like DirecTV as well.
Things kick off with the Cleveland Browns taking on the New York Giants at 7:00 p.m. eastern time. Then, the Dallas Cowboys visit the San Francisco 49ers starting at 10:00 p.m. eastern.
For those cord-cutters out there who don’t have a TV provider there’s another option. NFL Game Pass is a subscription-based service that gives you streaming access to all the preseason games in any market.
At the moment you can create a new account and get a free trial until Aug. 16. The full cost after the trial period is $99.99 which can be paid all at once or in four payments.
Signing up for the NFL Game Pass will give you access to all 12 of Thursday’s games and the four this weekend. On Thursday, you will be able to catch intriguing rookies like Baker Mayfield and Saquon Barkley in action.
Over the weekend, Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings face off against Case Keenum and the Denver Broncos. I’m sure Keenum will want to sting his former team a little during this matchup. We also get to see Jon Gruden back on the Oakland Raiders sidelines.
