Redskins at Patriots live stream: TV schedule, time and more
The New England Patriots will host the Washington Redskins in Week 1 of the preseason on Thursday night. Here is how to watch this preseason game online.
Anytime the Patriots take the field, viewers will notice. However, the Redskins have a few players up their sleeves to draw fans interest, too.
Starting with them, the Redskins possess arguably the second-best rookie running back in Derrius Guice.
The running back position is deep for the Redskins, with currently seven running backs on the roster. That seems like a few too many. This leaves Rob Kelley, Kapri Bibbs, Samaje Perine, Byron Marshall, and Martez Carter fighting for a few spots, assuming Chris Thompson holds a spot no matter what.
Those players will more than likely see the field and also get opportunities on special teams which will help decide who stays and goes.
For the Patriots, the lead storyline surrounding them is the wide receiver depth chart. Will the Patriots let Julian Edelman play with a four-game suspension looming?
Other than Edelman, the Patriots recently released both Jordan Matthews and Malcolm Mitchell.
The depth chart is extremely thin now with Chris Hogan, Cordarrelle Patterson, Phillip Dorsett, Kenny Britt and newly-signed Eric Decker.
There are a lot of names there, but how much do they all have left in the tank?
Rookie Braxton Berrios will also have a chance to show what he can do, too.
Date: Thursday, Aug. 9
Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
Location: Foxborough, Massachusetts
Venue: Gillette Stadium
TV Info: NBC Sports Washington (Redskins); WBZ-TV (Patriots)
Live Stream: NBCSports.com, NFL Game Pass, FuboTV
So this will be a game to keep an eye on the skill position players as there is plenty of uncertainty surrounding them. Who will step up in Edelman’s absence (besides tight end Rob Gronkowski)?
Learning who shall starts this week.
