Steelers at Eagles live stream: TV schedule, time and more
By Matt O'Leary
The reigning champion Eagles will play their first preseason game of the year against the Steelers at home. Here’s how you can watch the action.
The Philadelphia Eagles will play their first game since their Super Bowl upset over the New England Patriots. Sure, it’s not a regular season game but this is the first time the Philly faithful will see their team play something resembling a football game.
Both teams were playoff teams last year and have high expectations heading into the 2018 season. For the Eagles, it’s can they repeat their success and is Carson Wentz healthy?
While for the Steelers it’s a bit more complicated. They’re in a “win now” mode while “The Three B’s” Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell are still on the roster. Will this be the year they finally beat New England to move on to the Super Bowl?
Game Information
The road for all of these questions to be answered begins on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. The game will be played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia with a kickoff temperature of 86 degrees.
Broadcast
On television in Pittsburgh the game will air on KDKA-Channel 2 with Bob Pompeani doing the play by play, Charlie Batch doing color and Missi Matthews down on the sideline reporting.
If you’re in the Philadelphia area, you can watch the game on NBC with Scott Graham doing play by play, Mike Mayock as the analyst and Dave Spadaro taking care of the sideline reports.
If you want to stream the game you have a few options as well. Of course, there’s NFL Game Pass which is a subscription-based streaming service. You can also use FuboTV as a streaming alternative.
Verizon Wireless users can stream the game for free on their devices.
Notes
Carson Wentz is not expected to play in the game as he continues his recovery from ACL surgery. His practice reps were cut down quite a bit so expect to see Nick Foles get the start for Philadelphia.
For the Steelers, don’t expect to see a lot of Brown or Big Ben either. In the first preseason game teams often play their starters for a series or two before getting a look at the backups.
We’ll likely get to see rookie quarterback Mason Rudolph for the Steelers and likely a lot of Nate Sudfeld and Joe Callahan for the Eagles.
