Congratulations to my buddy DFSBachelor for taking down the $4.44 GPP on Fanduel yesterday. 26 people tied for first place yesterday, unfortunately, I wasn’t one of them but I did manage to make a few bucks last night. We two WNBA games today starting at 7 p.m. ET. So let’s jump into the slate find some key players and value picks to build our lineups around and go win some money!!!

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – OCTOBER 04: Nneka Ogwumike #30 of the Los Angeles Sparks reacts after fouling out of Game Five of the WNBA Finals against the Minnesota Lynx on October 4, 2017 at Williams in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Lynx defeated the Sparks 85-76 to win the championship. NOTE (Photo by Hannah Foslien/Getty Images) /

Nneka Ogwumike and the rest of the Los Angeles Sparks travel to Atlanta for what could be a nightmare of a game against the Dream. With only 5 games left to play Atlanta sits on top of the Eastern Conference and is playing some of the best basketball in the league right now. Will the Sparks rise to the challenge tonight? Keep reading to find out.

7 p.m. ET   Los Angeles Sparks (18-11)  vs.  Atlanta Dream (19-10) 154.5 O/U ATL +2

Key Players:

Candace Parker – Parker has only played one game this season on a back-to-back and the numbers weren’t pretty. It’s a small sample size, and she has played well recently, but I still makes me hesitant to roster her tonight. Especially against Atlanta. LineStar has her projected to score 41.25 on Fanduel today. I expect the matchup, the price, and playing on a back-to-back to drive her ownership down tonight.

Angel McCoughtry – She’s under 10k on DraftKings and 8k on Fanduel. In only 20 minutes of action last game she put up over 35 fantasy points. I expect her to stay on the floor a bit more tonight. She has taken double-digit shot attempts in each one of her last 9 games. She will have plenty of opportunities to hit value tonight, even though I don’t expect Atlanta to put up over 100 points again. Elizabeth Williams has been playing bigger minutes since the All-Star break and make a nice pivot option or stack with McCoughtry. *Update McCoughtry is now listed as doubful. Play Breland and Williams.

Value Picks:   Alex Bentley (FD) Monique Billings (FD &DK ) *if Dantas sit

Maya Moore finally came back to life scoring 31 points against the SKY on Tuesday. The Lynx are in a good spot today against a young Vegas team that has lost 3 games in a row (4 including the forfeit to Washington). The bigs from MIN are definitely in play for me today, and injuries should open some value. Will it Fowles or Moore who takes your lineup to the top tonight? Find out below.

10 p.m. ET   Minnesota Lynx (16-13)  vs. Las Vegas Aces (12-16) 166 O/U LV -1

Key Players:

Slyvia Fowles – Fowles is one of my favorite plays on the board today. She should pick up a few blocks tonight, clean up on the glass and score plenty of points. She has double-doubled in her last 3 games straight and has one of the best matchups on the slate. LineStar has her projected to score 38.83 points on Fanduel. That seems a little low to me. I want plenty of exposure to her in my lineups.

Maya Moore – Sticking Moore in my lineups still worries me a bit with her up-and-down (mostly down) performances on the court recently. LineStar has her projected to score 32.50 points on Fanduel. That seems about right, but at this price it won’t help much for your GPPs. She’s a little more playable on DraftKings today, but I still won’t have much exposure to her in my lineups there.

Kayla Mcbride – Remember a time when you could get Kayla Mcbride for around 5k on Fanduel? Those days are long gone, and lately she has been having trouble hitting value. If I pay up for guards I usually get them on DraftKings where they are a few thousand dollars cheaper than the stars in the paint, but today I am going to have to pass on Mcbride.

A’Ja Wilson –  The rookie will have her handsful tonight dealing with one of the best interior defenses in the league. LineStar has her projected to score 39.26 points tonight on Fanduel.  I like her a little more on DK today where you can save $1,100 dollars instead of playing Parker. Her production has dropped off a little and her minutes are declining a bit. She is still capable of putting up big numbers and scored around 50 fantasy points last time out against Minnesota.

Value Picks:  Danielle Robinson (FD) , Carolyn Swords (FD & DK) , Cecilia Zandalisini (FD & DK) Temi Fagbenle (FD & DK)

Final Thoughts

  1. I expect both of the games tonight to stay fairly close. I won’t be digging too deep into the benches. If I have to fade some of the expensive stars on the slate to do that I don’t mind.
  2. If I’m placing side bets tonight it will be on both road teams to win, and ATL and MIN against the spread.
  3. Stack: I like the MIN/LV game if you are looking for a stack to play. Injuries should open up some value and there are plenty of mid-tier options and studs to build around.
  4. Mid-tier options to consider: Kelsey Plum, Renee Montgomery, Elizabeth Williams
  5. Injuries that could impact the slate: Damiris Dantas (Ques), Rebekkah Brunson (Out) Angel McCoughtry (doubtful)
