Here’s how you can watch Disney Channel’s Freaky Friday 2018 reboot live online or the old-fashioned way right on your television.

Freaky Friday is rebooting on Disney Channel with an all-new musical iteration tonight at 8 p.m. ET featuring Heidi Blickenstaff reprising her role (Katherine Blake) from the recent theatre version. You can catch the film online at Disney Channel’s official live stream.

Blickenstaff first played Freaky Friday’s matriarch at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, Virgina in Oct. 4, 2016 – Nov. 20, 2016 then again at La Jolla Playhouse in UC. San Diego from Jan. 31 – March 19, 2017. Playing her daughter Elle Blake will be actress Cozi Zuehlsdorff best known for the Dolphin Tale films. The pair will naturally be compared to Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis who played the co-lead characters in the 2003 film that was a resounding success.

Walt Disney Records has simultaneously released a soundtrack for he 2018 Freaky Friday remake today (physical/digital) featuring Cozi Zuehlsdorff and Heidi Blickenstaff on vocals along with cast members Ricky He (Adam), Jennifer Laporte (Monica), Dara R. Moss (Savannah), Sarah Willey (Kitty), Isaiah Lehtinen (Karl), among others. According to Deadline, the theatrical stage iteration of Freaky Friday had a lot to do with its film return over a decade after the original. Adam Bonnett, EVP Original Programming at Disney Channel, commented as such calling the new edition to have a “fresh twist” and the potential to be a “classic” highlight once again.

"This movie is a creative collaboration with our Theatrical colleagues, who developed an original stage musical from a beloved story, said . “Now we’ve added a fresh twist by adapting it again into a movie for kids and families — with Broadway talent on and off camera — that has the potential to be a classic ‘DCOM’ for years to come."

Bridget Carpenter (Parenthood) even wrote the new remake’s screenplay based on her prior stage adaption with Tony winners Tom Kitt (Pitch Perfect) and Brian Yorkey (Grease Live!) penning the music lyrics. Director Steve Carr (Paul Blart: Mall Cop) had the honors of directing the TV Movie edition of the much loved, Disney comedy classic. Director Mark Waters (Mean Girls) directed the 2003 film.
