See when the cars and trucks will be hitting the track and your TV with the schedules for Michigan and Mid-Ohio.
It’s another split-site NASCAR weekend on tap, with one of the fastest tracks around juxtaposed against the twists and turns of another road course. The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series are at Michigan International Speedway, while the NASCAR XFINITY Series makes a stop at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
The whole stock car racing world is still buzzing about Chase Elliott’s big win at Watkins Glen last weekend, but reality could descend upon the No. 9 team in a hurry at Michigan. Elliott and his Hendrick Motorsports teammates didn’t qualify particularly well, and one wonders if they will have the raw speed to run up front at a track where that’s of the utmost importance.
Meanwhile, the XFINITY Series drivers don’t qualify until Saturday morning, so we won’t know right away how they are shaping up in relation to one another. But unlike at The Glen, the Rock N Roll Tequila 170 won’t have Cup drivers interfering, so it could be a huge opportunity for a regular to pick up a victory that would lock them into the playoff field.
Don’t forget that even though the trucks and Cup cars are at the same venue, their races are on different TV networks. Here’s the entire TV schedule for this big weekend at Michigan and Mid-Ohio, courtesy of NASCAR.com:
